Embedded Curriculum Plans

Embed curriculum plans into websites and learning management systems

We are pleased to announce a small update to Stedfast that allows users to embed their curriculum plans into their organisation websites or into learning management systems. This was a feature that was requested by users as they wanted to make their plans visible to learners, employers and parents. We thought that this was a useful feature as too many organisations are still just publishing bullet-point lists of objectives for their curriculum intent, implementation and impact. By displaying embedded curriculum plans all stakeholders will have clarity on what is being delivered in a programme.

Embedding Curriculum Plans

We have kept this simple and users can now add their curriculum plans using an iframe code that they can add to a webpage. The displayed information will just show the learning, practice and assessment activities. The rest of the curriculum activities that organisations have templated will not be displayed.

In the curriculum plan, users will find the code with the Plan Information area. They need to simply copy this code and add it as source code into their website or LMS.

Example Curriculum Plans

We have provided two examples of embedded curriculum plans below:

Demonstrating Curriculum Intent, Implementation and Impact

Stedfast has been designed to provide education and training organisations with a platform to plan and measure the effectiveness of their delivery programmes. There are two elements to programme design:

  • Outcomes Assessment – This is used to set out the programme outcomes. For each outcome, staff are able to identify one or more measures. These allow them to set out what learners need to be able to know or do, why they need this and then how learners will demonstrate they have achieved what has is required of them. This is how users set out curriculum intent. Using the outcomes assessment module, users are also able to conduct reviews of the programme. This lets them identify if the measure has been achieved and if it has not they can add improvements into the programme improvement plan. This is where users can identify their curriculum impact.
  • Curriculum Plans – Users are able to create curriculum plans in Stedfast. They can identify curriculum activities and align them with the programme outcomes. They are also able to conduct curriculum sequencing and mapping.

Stedfast also provides modules to support education and training providers with their staff performance management, CPD recording, policies and procedures and risk assessment.
